- New Year's Day Open House at Island Alpaca - Sunday, January 1st from 10:00am to 4:00pm - Bring the family and your out-of-town holiday guests for a unique experience. We invite you to Island Alpaca Company - home to over 40 friendly, fluffy alpaca. Primarily a breeding farm, we welcome visitors year-round to see these furry friends and meet the newest baby alpaca (called cria - probably the cutest animals you'll ever see). This New Year's Day and weekend, get up close with the friendly fluffy alpaca and meet our two newest babies in our special viewing area. Enjoy some tasty treats and hot cider while watching our alpaca or take in their alpaca video presentation.

- Artisanal Breads of the World with Vineyard Baker - Saturday, January 14th from 10:00am to 12:00pm - Travel the world through the lens of bread! - Met Opera Live: Fedora - Saturday, January 14th at 12:55pm - Broadcast live from the Metropolitan Opera to our theater! Umberto Giordano’s exhilarating drama returns to the Met repertory for the first time in 25 years. Packed with memorable melody, show stopping arias, and explosive confrontations, the Met’s new production promises to deliver. Soprano Sonya Yoncheva, one of today’s most riveting artists, sings the title role of the 19th-century Russian princess who falls in love with her fiancé’s murderer, Count Loris, sung by star tenor Piotr Beczala. Soprano Rosa Feola is the Countess Olga, Fedora’s confidant, and baritone Artur Rucinski is the diplomat De Siriex, with Met maestro Marco Armiliato conducting. Director David McVicar delivers a detailed and dramatic staging.
- Knife Skills with Cathy Walthers - Saturday, January 21st from 10:00am to 11:30am - Knowing how to use a good, sharp chef’s knife is one of the most important and useful skills in the kitchen. This hands-on class with chef Catherine Walthers is designed to help you become a faster, more efficient cook. We won’t debone a chicken or make fancy garnishes, but will review different cutting techniques such as julienne, chiffonade and others. As part of this course, Cathy will give a brief demonstration of knife sharpening and care.
- Salsa Suelta with Christina Montoya - Thursday, January 5th & 19th at 5:00pm - Back by popular demand! Known as Casino dancing in Cuba, this class will explore basic rhythms and movements of this style and related styles, as well as touch on history and culture. No partner necessary.
