    • From Sheep to Shawl - Saturday, December 3rd at 11:00am - Explore the transformative process of wool from sheep to blanket with hands-on activities like carding, drop spindling, and felting! Farmers from Allen Farm Sheep and Wool Company will also discuss shearing and caring for sheep year-round. This program is free and open to all! Email jmatejcek@clamsnet.org to register.
    • Island Community Chorus Holiday Concert - Saturday, December 3rd at 7:30pm & Sunday, December 4th at 3:00pm - Island Community Chorus, now under the direction of Bill Peek, returns for its annual holiday concert. 
    • Full Moon Owl Prowl - Wednesday, December 7th from 5:00pm to 6:00pm - Hoo's out there? Owls silently fly through our island woods and fields. Head to Felix Neck for a bright moon stroll to look, listen, and learn about these nocturnal birds.
    • 41st Annual Christmas in Edgartown - Thursday, December 8th through Sunday, December 11th - Christmas in Edgartown is a weekend festival you don’t want to miss. Every year through the various events, Christmas in Edgartown helps raise over $50,000 for Island-wide charities and non-profits.
    • Lighting of the Edgartown Lighthouse - Friday, December 9th from 5:00pm to 6:15pm - A time honored tradition, Edgartown’s version of a tree lighting is full of seaside village charm. Thank you to the MV Museum for the annual holiday lighting of the Edgartown Lighthouse, which takes place at 6pm sharp, with help from Big Brother Big Sisters. 
    • Minnesingers Annual Family Holiday Concert at the Old Whaling Church - Friday, December 9th from 8:00pm to 9:30pm & Saturday, December 10th from 4:00pm to 5:30pm - Benefit concert for the Martha’s Vineyard Regional High School choral group, Minnesingers and Vineyard Preservation Trust. This is their 30th year the Minnesingers have performed at The Old Whaling Church. Adults $20 seniors and Student $15 Children 12 and under free; doors open at 3:30. Visit by Santa at this concert; please call 508–627–4440 with questions and visit https://vineyardtrust.org/events/ to reserve your tickets. 
    • Christmas Faire at First Congregational Church of West Tisbury - Saturday, December 10th from 9:30am to 2:30pm - The First Congregational Church of West Tisbury will hold its annual Christmas Faire on. The theme is “An Island Christmas—a Celebration of Land and Sea.”  We will have beautiful wreaths, swags, and centerpieces for sale, vintage jewelry, and a bake sale. 
    • Winter Walks: Woods Preserve - Saturday, December 10th at 10:00am - Join your friends at VCS for the always fun and informative Winter Walks series. Get outdoors, take in the Island’s scenic beauty, and learn the conservation history of some of our local ecological treasures. All walks begin at 10 a.m. unless otherwise noted and usually last about two hours. Because we sometimes need to limit the total number of attendees, registration is required
    • Christmas in Edgartown Parade - Saturday, December 10th from 11:00am to 11:45am - Join us for the holiday magic on Main Street! Don’t miss the fun - floats, animals, music, dancers, kids, fire engines, and of course Santa. The parade will take place on Main Street between Pease’s Point Way and Water Street. (Rain or shine)
    • Buddy the Elf Breakfast Spaghetti Eating Competition - Saturday, December 10th from 12:00pm to 12:30pm - Come Hungry to Sea Legs for the Buddy the Elf Breakfast Spaghetti Eating Competition for a chance to win $500 worth of Sea Legs merch.
    • Aquinnah Artisans Holiday Fair - Saturday, December 10th & 11th from 10:00am to 4:00pm - Celebrate the holiday spirit, view the Children’s Art Show, make something at the Craft Table and purchase items from approximately 20 local artisans and vendors at the Aquinnah Artisans Holiday Fair. On Saturday, food will be provided by Orange Peel Bakery. Goldie's Rotisserie food truck will be available on Sunday. 
    • Vineyard Artisans Holiday Fair - Saturday, December 17th from 10:00am to 4:00pm - You won’t want to miss this very special holiday fair, our last of the year. Many holiday gifts are available; just right for that special someone who appreciates a true Island gift, and as usual always hand-made one by one.
    • Island Alpaca Christmas Day Open House - Sunday, December 25th from 12:00pm to 4:00pm - Join us at Island Alpaca for our first annual, Christmas Day Open House from 12 to 4 p.m. Enjoy some tasty treats and hot cider while watching our alpaca. Bring the family and your out-of-town holiday guests for a unique experience. We invite you to Island Alpaca Company - home to over 35 friendly, fluffy alpaca. Primarily a breeding farm, we welcome visitors year-round to see these furry friends and meet the six newest baby alpaca (probably the cutest animals you'll ever see). This is the first time we have opened our barn doors for Christmas Day.   We hope you can join us. Get up close with the alpaca. See you at the farm.
    • Dickensian Christmas Village at the Carnegie - Thursdays-Saturdays in December from 10:00am to 4:00pm - Dickensian Christmas Village at the Carnegie Heritage Center.  Hundreds of pieces with lighted and moving displays installed by avid collectors.  Not to be missed this holiday season!  
    • Island Made Holidays at Heather Gardens - Daily in December from 10:00am to 5:00pm - Showcasing favorite Vineyard artisans' goods: wreaths, holiday plants, local sea salt, jams and jellies, beaded and quahog shell jewelry, Island books, ceramics, wooden gifts, knitted items and more.
    • World Market Monday Holiday Shop at the Capawok  - Daily in December from 10:00am to 6:00pm - Holiday Shop featuring global wome's empowerment projects through the sale of crafts from Haiti, India, Palestine and Tanzania to support nonprofits working in those regions.
    • Featherstone Holiday Gift Show - Daily through December 18th from 12:00pm to 4:00pm - Presenting Featherstone's 20th annual Holiday Gift Show! Celebrate the holiday season while supporting Island artists and Featherstone!
