- Barn Raisers Day - Saturday, November 4 from 10:00am to 1:00pm - To celebrate our barn raisers this year, we are building tiny Ag Halls! Visit the Ag Hall to enjoy snacks and warm drinks while working to construct a barn of your own—a model of the Ag Hall built from candy, cardboard, craft supplies, Legos, and more! All materials will be provided (although you are welcome to bring your own!). This event is for all ages!
- 29th Annual Barn Raisers Ball - Saturday, November 4 from 7:00pm to 10:00pm - Our 29th annual Barn Raisers Ball is coming up soon! We're excited to dance the night away with you all to celebrate the 1994 construction of our barn. Community members make all our work possible, and we ca't wait to celebrate with you all! Like past years, this will be a BYOB event with a dessert potluck and music by Johnny Hoy and the Bluefish.
- Locally Grown & Delicious with Casey Mazar-Kelly - Thursday, November 9 from 5:30-7:30PM - Join Casey Mazar-Kelly in this monthly class on how to make comforting, delicious, and healthy local meals from scratch! Every month we will base our recipes on what’s growing in our Friendship Garden and what is available at other island farms. Classes are hands-on and participants will prepare a meal together that will then be shared around the table at the end of the class.

- Veterans Day Hike at Long Point Wildlife Refuge - Friday, November 10 from 9:00am to 10:30am - This Veterans Day, let the Trustees be your guide to our globally rare habitats at Long Point Wildlife Refuge, traversing by foot around sandplain grasslands, barrier beaches, and pine barren forests. Gain a deeper understanding of the flora and fauna that call this special refuge their home.
- Veterans Day Cape Pogue Discovery Tour: Afternoon - Saturday, November 11 from 1:30pm to 3:00pm - This Veterans Day, explore Cape Pogue’s magnificent barrier beach and wildlife refuge on an open-air, over-sand adventure. Learn about the rare and protected flora and fauna that make their home on the sandy shoreline, expansive salt marsh, beautiful salt pond, and unique colony of red cedars. Please dress appropriately for extended sun exposure (hat, sunglasses, layers, sunscreen, water). Binoculars and cameras are encouraged. Tours last approximately 1.5 hours. This tour does not visit the lighthouse.
- Parker House Rolls with Vineyard Baker - Sunday, November 12 from 10:00am to 12:00pm - Just in time for all your holiday meals, learn how to make these delicious Parker House rolls from scratch in this hands-on class! Teri will walk participants through the steps of bread baking including shaping and rolling dough. All participants will make their own rolls to take home with them.
- Featherstone's Annual Holiday Gift Show - Daily beginning Monday, November 13 at 12:00pm to 4:00pm - Welcome to another year of the Featherstone Holiday Gift Show! Our doors will open for shoppers on Monday, Nov. 13 and runs through Sunday, Dec. 17. (Closed on Thanksgiving, Nov. 23.) Featuring many different island artisans, Featherstone is excited to host another year of the Holiday Gift Show! Come support your local artist community and shop with us starting Monday, Nov. 13.
- 10th Annual Trucki' MV - Saturday, November 18 at 10:00am to 1:00pm - Vineyard Montessori School will hold the 10th annual Truckin’ MV free community event on Saturday, Nov. 18 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the MV Regional High School parking lot. Truckin’ MV encourages children of all ages to interact with and meet the “truckers” that drive some of the coolest vehicles on Martha’s Vineyard. Police cruisers, fire trucks, dump trucks, container trucks, excavators and many more types of vehicles will be on display. Come for the trucks but stay for the fun-filled activities that make this a family affair. Childrens' music, food, face painting, raffle tickets, and airbrush art will be available for purchase at the event.
- MET OPERA LIVE: X: THE LIFE & TIMES OF MALCOLM X – Saturday, November 18, 12:55 pm at the Martha's Vineyard Film Center - Anthony Davis’s groundbreaking and influential opera, which premiered in 1986, arrives at in cinemas on November 18. Theater luminary and Tony-nominated director of Slave Play Robert O’Hara oversees a potent new staging that imagines Malcolm as an Everyman whose story transcends time and space. An exceptional cast of breakout artists and young Met stars enliven the operatic retelling of the civil rights leader’s life. Baritone Will Liverman, who triumphed in the Met premiere of Fire Shut Up in My Bones, sings Malcolm X, alongside soprano Leah Hawkins as his mother, Louise; mezzo-soprano Raehann Bryce-Davis as his sister Ella; bass-baritone Michael Sumuel as his brother Reginald; and tenor Victor Ryan Robertson as Nation of Islam leader Elijah Muhammad. Kazem Abdullah conducts the newly revised score, which provides a layered, jazz-inflected setting for the esteemed writer Thulani Davis’s libretto. This live cinema transmission is part of the Met’s award-winning Live in HD series, bringing opera to movie theaters across the globe.

- Brickyard Hike and Explore - Friday, November 24 at 9:00am to 11:30am - Explore the natural history and land use history of the iconic Brickyard on this guided nature hike. Our hike will bring us from the humble heights of Prospect Hill to the stunning view of the Brickyard. Along the way participants will learn about the glacial movement that formed the island we call home, and how islanders helped build Boston brick-by-brick. Pre-registration required.
- Vineyard Artisans 27th Annual Thanksgiving Weekend Festival - November 24th & 26th at 10:00am to 4:00pm - This largest holiday art show by Islanders features many holiday gifts such as one-of-a-kind winter hand-made sweaters, hand-made soaps, Island lavender, and fine crafts including leather and vintage material bags, wood butcher block cutting boards, and so much more. The best part of coming to the Vineyard Artisan Festivals is meeting the artists and listening to how they love their art and enjoy making these beautiful gifts. Great food too!
