 Stone Carving Demonstration by Chris Pellettieri - Saturday, October 1 at 10:00am - Join us in welcoming Chris Pellettieri, traditional stone carver and founder of Pellettieri Stone Carvers’ Academy, as he sets up a workshop at MVM where visitors can watch him at work, ask questions, and even try their hand at using a few simple hand tools to chip away at a block of stone. 

 

Family Day at the PA! - Saturday, October 1 from 2:00pm to 7:00pm - Members and community are invited to have fun at the Portuguese American Club! Enjoy Portuguese sopa, food, games and music. Rain date: Oct. 2. 

 

MV Big Golf Fore Kids - Sunday, October 2 at 7:00am - Join us as we celebrate the MV BIG Golf Fore Kids tournament to benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters of Cape Cod & the Islands. By supporting this event with your registration or sponsorship, you can make a difference in a child’s life while showing your community just how much you care. Gay Head 10K Road Race - Sunday, October 2 at 10:30am - This USATF-certified 10K (6.2 miles) road race is held each year to support the restoration of the recently relocated Gay Head Lighthouse. Run from under the famed lighthouse’s beam, down State Road through lovely, rolling hills, to Moshup Trail, along the scenic, dune-filled coast, and back to the lighthouse.

 

Sundays in the Park Concerts - October 2 & 9 from 5:30pm to 7:30pm - Made possible by the Oak Bluffs Park Department. 

 

Coffee and Conversation at The Carnegie - Tuesday, October 4 from 10:30am to 11:30am - Meet Adam Moore, Sheriff's Meadow director and author of A Year on Martha's Vineyard. Community, coffee and conversation in the comfort of the The Carnegie Heritage Center in the center of Edgartown.  

 

Fall on the FARM Festival - Saturday, October 8 from10:00am to 2:00pm - Join us for some fall on the farm fun! Pumpkin picking in our patch, wagon rides to see Morning Glory’s cows, squash bowling, kid’s crafts, pumpkin decorating and lots of fun with our barnyard animals!

 

Vineyard Artisans Columbus Day Weekend Festival - October 8th & 9th from 10:00am to 4:00pm - Catch all your favorite Island artisans.

 

LadyFest - Saturday, October 8 at 5:00pm - LadyFest, the annual female-fueled arts and music festival that raises awareness and funds for CONNECT to End Violence, will return once again to downtown Oak Bluffs. The event features musical artists from many genres including rock, soul, electronic and pop and benefits CONNECT, the local non- profit which aims to reduce domestic and sexual violence and assist victims in need.

 

Indigenous Peoples Day 2022 at Felix Neck - Monday, October 10 from 4:00pm to 5:30pm - Join us for the second annual Indigenous Peoples Day celebration on Nôepe, to acknowledge the Wôpanâak territory and presence.

 

Women in Film Festival - October 14th-16th - The Martha’s Vineyard Film Society is proud to present our third annual Women in Film Festival (WIFF).

 

Martha's Vineyard Striped Bass & Bluefish Derby - Through October 15th - For 77 years, The Derby has been a time to renew friendships, share a cup of coffee and create memories that fuel the winters exaggerated fishing stories.

 

Pumpkin Festival - Saturday, October 15 from 11:00am to 3:00pm - Rain or shine, our annual Pumpkin Festival is a free family celebration of the harvest.

 

MVM Nightlife: Spooky Scrimshaw Pumpkins - October 13 from 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm - Island-grown pumpkins and maritime art make a fine combination for fall decorating!

 

Historic Cemetery Walking Tours with Liz Villard - Thursday, October 13, 20, & 27 at 2:30pm - The old burying grounds of Martha’s Vineyard are full of beautiful and unique gravestones commemorating Islanders of the past.

Harvest Festival - Saturday, October 22 from 10:00am to 3:00pm - Featuring the Wome's Skillet Toss and the All-Island Draft Horse Show. Plus farmers' market, tractor and wagon rides, live music, food, pumpkin decorating and carving and more.
