Summer is in full swing on Martha’s Vineyard and the island has something for everyone! Come listen to live music again or take an art stroll through Edgartown and Oak Bluffs! Whatever you are looking for the Vineyard has it this month. Here are our favorites for July on MV!
Vineyard Artisans Summer Festival - Thursdays and Sundays from 10:00am to 2:00pm - A Vineyard summer tradition and the only weekly juried art show where the public can meet over 70 artisans and buy directly from them. Many demonstrations, weaving, fine furniture, pottery, stained glass, oil paintings, pastels, mixed media, sculpture, wampum jewelry, quilts, clothing, sea glass windows, handmade books and much more.
Lobster Roll Drive-Thru - Saturday, July 3 at 4:30pm to 7:00pm - The funds raised will benefit the Edgartown Patrolma's Association and allow us to continue our charitable work in the community. Edgartown School 35 Robinson Road, Edgartown, MA 02539
Vineyard Sound Show - Saturdays in July at 7:00pm - An acapella concert featuring talented boys from various New England colleges. Music typically covers Sam Cooke hits, Beatles classics, and various contemporary songs.
Sundays in the Park - Featuring the Black Eyed Susans, Don Groover & Friends and more bands to be announced.

Fluke for Luke - Saturday & Sunday July 10th and 11th - This fishing tournament is held annually to help raise funds for Jacob and Sam Gurney's scholarship fund and to celebrate the life of their Dad, Luke Gurney.
Live Music: Thistle - Saturday, July 10 at 7:00pm to 8:30pm - Neo-classical trio Thistle will be playing an outdoor concert of original music inspired by the writings of Victorian poets Andersen and Poe. The trio is led by composer, singer and harpist Thistle Jemison, whose songs for harp, cello, voice, and percussion draw on her experience in the western classical, South Indian classical, jazz, rock and folk genres. Thistle has been described as mystical, haunting, and angelic, with the ability to transport and transfix you.
Chilmark Flea Market - Wednesdays & Saturdays from 9:00am to 2:00pm - The oldest outdoor Flea Market venue on the Island. The "Flea" has evolved into a market like no other. High quality handmade items from Vineyard artists and craftsmen, antiques, imports and vintage finds, including jewelry, clothing, art, food items and more.
West Tisbury Farmers' Market - Wednesdays & Saturdays from 9:00am to 12:00pm - Outdoor farmers market features locally grown produce and meat and locally made products. The market is dedicated to bringing local agricultural products to the people both living on and visiting the Island. The market was started in 1974 by a group of Island growers. That first year they had about a dozen farmers selling their produce.
The Fabulists - Saturdays in July beginning July 10th at 10:00am - A troupe of adult actors and writers perform witty adaptations and fun new scripts for children. Perfect for the entire family. Lots of fun, improvisation, and audience participation.
Friends of the West Tisbury Library Book Sale - The book sale is on!
- Monday, July 26 through Saturday, July 31 is full price.
- Sunday, August 1, bags will be half price.
- Monday, August 2 is free day.
This year, most books will be sold by the grocery bag and not individually priced. $10 a bag ($20 to $30 for larger bags). Bring your own grocery-sized bag, if possible. Vineyard authors and “Best of Show” books will be priced and paid for separately. Due to Covid considerations, masks will be required, tables will be 6 feet apart and customers may have to be limited (150 maximum in the West Tisbury School gym at once). Social distancing is recommended. All sale proceeds benefit the West Tisbury Library.
