First Friday - Friday, June 3rd from 4:00pm to 11:00pm - First Friday is an outdoor event in Vineyard Haven, Martha's Vineyard. We have Music, Art, and Food, so stop by and check it out on the First Friday of each month June-October. Food trucks and vendors. PathwaysARTS Presents Silent Disco Party at First Fridays - Friday, June 3rd from 9:00pm to 11:00pm - Soul, funk, R&B. Two-channel headsets: DJ Memphis 10 vs. DJ DC Rose. All are welcome. Free use of headsets with ID. All part of the First Fridays event.
Cross-Island Hike - Saturday, June 4th - Each year since 1993, the land bank has observed National Trails Day – the first Saturday of June – by conducting a day-long hike across the Island to expose people to the network of trails that connect the Island’s many conservation lands and public properties. The 2022 Cross-Island Hike's details will be forthcoming in the next few weeks.
Exhibit: Emerge! Davin A. Tackabury Scholarship Art Show - June 6th through June 16th from 12:00pm to 4:00pm - Featherstone Center for the Arts presents Emerge!, an art show fundraiser for the Davin A. Tackabury Scholarship Fund for the Arts. Emerge! is a celebration of all the emerging young artists from within our island community. Works from both emerging and established local artists will be for sale. This exhibit celebrates Davin Tackbury, the many emerging artists at the Martha’s Vineyard Regional High School and Martha’s Vineyard Public Charter School as well as the artistic expression of the Island’s more seasoned artists.
Work In Progress Performance: Larissa Velez-Jackson/LVJ Performance Co. - Tuesday, June 7th at 7:00pm - The Yard opens the 2022 season with a performance by Larissa Velez-Jackson/LVJ Performance Co. Larissa Velez-Jackson is a choreographer, interdisciplinary artist, performer, and teacher who uses improvisation as a main tool for research and creation, focusing on personhood and the dancing, sound-making body.
Salt Water Wednesdays - Wednesday, June 8th from 4:00pm to 5:00pm - Have you ever wanted to learn how to gut a fish or shuck an oyster? Sign up for this monthly workshop where you will learn about all aspects of Island seafood, from preparation to the ecological importance of buying local. You'll leave with not only a filet (or some shellfish) for dinner, but also with the knowledge of how to process your next catch. In our first workshop, we'll learn how to shuck local oysters and clams with the owner of Honeysuckle Oyster Farm. Space is limited, please register

Whatever the heck it is, don your favorite sweater vest and get yourself there by way of the space time continuum.
Vineyard Artisans Summer Festival - Sundays and Thursdays in June beginning June 12th from 10:00am to 2:00pm - A Vineyard summer tradition and the only weekly juried art show where the public can meet over 70 artisans and buy directly from them. Many demonstrations, weaving, fine furniture, pottery, stained glass, oil paintings, pastels, mixed media, sculpture, wampum jewelry, quilts, clothing, sea glass windows, handmade books and much more.
Moonrise Kayak Tour - Monday, June 13th from 6:45pm to 8:45pm - See Sengekontacket Pond in a new light—moonlight—as we celebrate each month's full moon. With a guide, kayak on the pond as the sun sets, stars twinkle, and the moon rises. Registration is required online at www.massaudubon.org. Please sign up one to two persons per boat. Single and double person kayaks are available.
Juneteenth Jubilee MV 2022: film screening of "Jubilee, Juneteenth, and the Thirteenth" - Friday, June 17th at 5:00pm - Join us at Union Chapel in Oak Bluffs for a presentation by the Union Chapel Education and Cultural Institute and Museum of African American History. Summer Camp Clinic with Steam MV! Steam MV is a program of the MV Public Schools offering 8 summer steam clinics the last week of July and the first week of August. They are all created and taught by island educators for grades 1st-8th!
