  • Land Bank's Annual Cross-Island Hike - Saturday, June 1 at 8:00am - This is a day-long, guided hike that differs each year and is ordinarily less than 20 miles in length and most participants elect to walk only a portion of the hike’s route, using the itinerary times and information provided on this website to plan their personal starting and ending points. This year, the hike will begin from the shoreline of Hillmans Point Preserve and conclude at Chilmark Pond Preserve. The starting point is across Lake Tashmoo from Tashmoo Beach.
  • West Tisbury Farmers' Market - Wednesdays and Saturdays in June from 9:00am to 12:00pm - Outdoor farmers market features locally grown produce and meat and locally made products. Restrooms and free parking available. The market is dedicated to bringing local agricultural products to the people both living on and visiting the Island. The market was started in 1974 by a group of Island growers.
  • Yoga at the MV Museum with YogiJay - Saturdays from 9:00am to 10:00am - Join YogiJay (Jason Mazar-Kelly) of Wholesome MV every week at the Martha's Vineyard Museum for a community-based all-levels yoga class. Classes are typically held outdoors, however, in case of rain or cold temperatures class will be held indoors in the beautiful atrium of the museum surrounded by the history and culture of the Island. This weekly event is a great way to connect with the community and enjoy a sweet practice of movement, meditation, and breathe, all in one of the most beautiful spots on the Island.
  • Garden Workshop: Birds, Bees and Butterflies - Saturday, June 1 at 11:00am - Chris Wiley will discuss the best plants to include in a pollinator self-seeding garden to attract birds, bees and butterflies.
  • Martha's Vineyard Dance Film Festival - Saturday, June 1 at 5:30pm - Join Circuit Arts for the first annual Martha's Vineyard Dance Film Festival — a captivating fusion of dance and cinema. Following the success of our dance film shorts program at the Martha's Vineyard Film Festival, we proudly present a stand-alone event dedicated to the artistry of dance film. We're also weaving live performances seamlessly throughout the festival!
  • Oak Bluffs Open Market - Sundays in June from 10:00am to 2:00pm - Enjoy Sundays in the park by the harbor! Open Market is an ever- changing variety of locally grown produce, specialty foods, flowers, indie designers, artisans, antique and vintage dealers.  Live Music performed during the last 2 hours (12 to 2 p.m.) of the Market by John O’Toole. 
  • West Tisbury Town Picnic - Sunday, June 2 at 12:00pm to 3:00pm - Bring a picnic lunch and enjoy music, wagon rides and games. Sponsored by West Tisbury Parks and Recreation.
  • Sundays in the Park Concert: John O'Toole - Sunday, June 2 at 5:30pm to 7:30pm - The concerts will take place on Sundays from May 26 to early October.  These concerts are made possible by the Oak Bluffs Park Dept. Come join this celebration of music and the season!  
  • Historic Walking Tours of Edgartown - Daily in June from 10:30am to 11:45am = Step into three centuries of Island history guided by Vineyard Preservation Trust educators.  Tours begin at the iconic Old Whaling Church and end at the Carnegie Heritage Center with exclusive access to the Daniel Fisher House, the Vincent House and the Cooke House.
  • MV Sharks vs. Newport Gulls - Tuesday, June 4 at 6:35pm - Enjoy the Island's own collegiate summer baseball team as they take on the Newport Gulls.
  • Film Screening: The Girl Who Wore Freedom - Thursday, June 6 at 7:30pm - Free admission for veterans, in honor of D-Day.  - The untold WWII stories of the men, women, and children of Normandy, France, who lived through German occupation, the D-Day invasion, and the liberation by Allied forces. The screening will be followed by a Zoom Q&A with sound designer Jason Hoban.
  • LGBTQIA+ Pride Weekend in Oak Bluffs - Friday, June 7th - Sunday, June 9th - Three days to show your colors and have a blast!
  • First Friday - Friday, June 7 at 4:00pm to 10:00pm - First Friday is an outdoor event in Vineyard Haven, Martha's Vineyard. We have music, art, and food, so stop by and check it out on the First Friday of each month June through December.
  • Gossip, Ghosts, and Downright Scandal Walking Tours - Fridays in June from 7:00pm to 8:15pm - A guided walking tour with a lighthearted look at Edgartow's history.  You will see elegant houses and historic sites, hear local myths and what really happen and maybe even a few well-behaved ghosts.
  • The Lesson - June 7th & 8th at 7:00pm - This original solo play, written and performed by Tyrone Davis Jr., details a community’s charged response to a well-intentioned lesson.
  • Vineyard Artisans Summer Festival - Sundays in June from 10:00am to 2:00pm - When you visit our summer shows you are buying local fine art and crafts completely hand-made by Islanders.
  • Harborfest -  Saturday, June 15 from 10:00am to 6:00pm - The 32nd annual Harborfest along Oak Bluffs harbor takes place on June 15. Live music from 12 to 6 p.m., arts, crafts, vendors, great local food, family fun. Kick off the summer at Oak Bluffs Harborfest!
  • Strawberry Festival - Saturday, June 15 from 11:00am to 2:00pm - Join us June 15 for a day of strawberry shortcakes and other treats, hayrides, music, and bushels of fun! We ca't wait to celebrate with you
  • Flag Raising Ceremony -  Wednesday, June 19 at 12:00pm - Join us for a moment of reflection, remembrance, and solidarity as we raise the Juneteenth flag in recognition of this important milestone in American history. Free and open to all. Presented by the Martha’s Vineyard Campground Meeting Association.

  • An Evening with Demola the Violinist - Wednesday, June 19 at 5:00pm - The Martha's Vineyard branch of the Association for the Study of African American Life and History (ASALH) is proud to announce an enchanting evening with Demola the Violinist at the 8th Annual Black & White ASALH fundraiser.
  • Chilmark Flea Market - Saturdays in June starting June 22nd from 9:00am to 12:00pm - The oldest outdoor flea market venue on the Island! The "Flea" has evolved into a market like no other. High quality handmade items from Vineyard artists and craftsmen, antiques, imports and vintage finds, including jewelry, clothing, art, food items and more.
  • Edgartown Race Weekend - June 20 - 22 - Start your 2024 racing season on Martha's Vineyard with Edgartown Race Weekend, hosted by the Edgartown Yacht Club. Join us for the 'Round-the-Sound coastal sprints on Thursday, June 20 and Friday, June 21, followed by the historic 'Round-the-Island Race on Saturday, June 22.  Competition is open for PHRF-NE and Multi-Hull ratings.
  • Hidden Treasures of the Arboretum: A Tour of Unique and Unknown Collections - Saturday, June 22 from 10:00am to 12:00pm - The Polly Hill Arboretum is known for its Living Collections of Trees and Shrubs. Beyond the beauty of our plant specimens are special collections used for research. These include the Herbarium of dried pressed plants and the Stephen A. Spongberg Library of Botanical Treasures, with its rare monographs and exceptional botanical illustrations. There are remarkable collections that tell the story of the site's agricultural history, as well as quirky and unique collections obtained over the last 25 years by PHA staff.
  • Juneteenth Jubilee Festival '24 - Saturday, June 22 from 1 - 5pm - So pleased to announce our 4th annual Juneteenth Jubilee Festival is ON.  Yes we are doing it again: a free community festival where everyone is welcome to celebrate freedom, joy, culture and community.
  • The Vineyard's Drive-In - Beginning June 21st at 8:30pm - Gates open at 7:30 p.m.; the film begins at approximately 8:30 p.m. Check the website for the schedule.
  • Annual Juneteenth Gospel Brunch - Sunday, June 23 at 10:00am - Vineyard Gazette Media Group is proud to present the third Annual Juneteenth Gospel Brunch. Dine with friends or family on a delicious brunch while listening to the inspirational, triumphant sounds of live gospel singing at the Harbor View Hotel. All are welcome! This is a ticketed event. Tickets: $125.
