  1. Bird-a-thon - Saturday, May 4th at 6pm at the Ritz - Calling all bird nerds! Join us at the bar for an evening of music, prizes, and education benefiting Felix Neck Wildlife Sanctuary. Celebrate all of the species you've found with face painting from 6 to 8pm, a raffle, live music starting at 7 p.m. and so much more.

  2. MV Film Society hosts The Met: Live in HD, MET OPERA LIVE: DIALOGUES DES CARMÉLITES - Saturday, May 11th, 2019 at 12pm -. Met Music Director Yannick Nézet-Séguin leads an accomplished ensemble in Poulenc’s devastating modern masterpiece of faith and martyrdom. Isabel Leonard is the young Blanche de La Force, opposite Met legend Karita Mattila as the First Prioress

  3. MV Mini Maker Faire - Saturday, May 11, 10-4 at the Agricultural Hall, West Tisbury. Enjoy a showcase of Vineyard-made arts and crafts, science, and engineering, food and music, fire and water. Maker Faire is a show-and-tell format for people of all ages that brings out the “kid” in all of us.

  4. Art Exhibit: The Art of Flowers with Guest Curator Holly Alaimo at Featherstone Center for the Arts - Monday, May 13 at 12-4. The Art of Flowers with guest curator Holly Alaimo. Show runs daily 12-4pm. through May 27.
  5. Moonrise Kayak - Double Boat at Felix Neck - Saturday, May 18th, 6:30-8:30pm.
  6. Polly Hill Arboretum Plant Exploration: The Value of Observing, Documenting, and Collecting Wild Plants - Thursday, May 23, 2019 at 5:30pm. Phil Douglas, Director of Plant Collections at the Chicago Botanic Garden, will discuss his recent travels collecting and documenting plants across three continents.
  7. Architectural Walking Tour of Edgartown - Friday, May 24 at 10:30am to 12:00pm. This 90-minute tour winds its way through the commercial core of Edgartown; making stops at the 1703 John Coffin House, the hidden Village Green, and more.
  8. Vineyard Artisans Spring/Memorial Day Weekend - Saturday, May 25th and 26th at 10-4:00 at the Grange Hall in West Tisbury. Opening show of the season. Come and see all the new work our Island artists have been working on all winter. Great food, free parking and admission, catered food, many demonstrations, and a playground for kids.
  9. Cape Pogue Lighthouse Tour - Saturday, May 25 at 10:00-4:30. Enjoy an over-sand vehicle adventure to the remote Cape Pogue Lighthouse. Climb the spiral staircase of the century-old wooden lighthouse and discover intriguing stories of the keepers of the light who watched over these ocean waters. This tour is great for explorers of all ages.
  10. Oak Bluffs Memorial Road Race - Sunday, May 26 at 10-11am. 5K road race and 1 mile fun-run to benefit Hospice of Martha's Vineyard.
