Spring is finally here! The island has started to come alive again. Gardens are showing colors and restaurants are opening up their space with delicious new flavors. - The Martha’s Vineyard Playhouse hosts humorist Jenny Allen in “Jenny’s Drama Salon.” Wednesday, April 3rd at 7:00 pm. Tickets are $10, cash only. Come laugh with Jenny.
- The Yard will host Winter Yard. Company SBB Stefanie Batten Bland Saturday, April 6th at 7:00. Come see this talented NYC dance-theatre company perform.

- Polly Hill Arboretum hosts a Mushroom Cultivation Workshop. Growing edible mushrooms on oak logs is an easy and environmentally friendly method. - Felix Neck Wildlife Sanctuary hosts its “Big Moon Owl Prowl.” Hoo’s out there? Owls silently fly through our Island woods and fields. - The Farm Institute continues its “Saturday Mornings with a Shepherd.” Come in from the cold and help care for our flock. Join us in our lambing nursery as we check on our ewes, look for signs of labor, and fingers crossed - care for our new lambs. - Celebrate Earth Day with the annual Earth Day Beach Clean Up. Community action and good clean fun. It’s the 27th annual Earth Day Beach Clean Up. Join the Island-wide community effort to clean up our beaches. Take a walk along our shoreline collecting trash along the way. Afterwards head on over to the after-party at Sailing Camp Park in Oak Bluffs from noon to 2 p.m. Don’t forget to BYO plates and cutlery for this zero-waste event. - Check out the various island led Egg Hunts! For the weekend of April 20th most island libraries and churches will host their annual egg hunt.
- Martha's Vineyard Film Center will host its 3rd annual Spectrum (LGBTQ+) Film Festival. Spectrum is a four-day film festival that presents a world perspective on LGBTQ+ stories, people, and issues through a variety of films and includes guest speakers, discussions, and a special event for LGBTQ+ youth. - Cape Pogue Wildlife Refuge hosts their “Spring Safari.” Join the Cape Pogue Wildlife Refuge on Wasque and Norton Point Beach for an oversand, open-air exploration. Learn about the natural history of the barrier beach as we welcome the return of our seasonal wildlife and pops of growth and color begin to emerge on the Spring landscape.
