EDGARTOWN:

Bend in The Road Beach

Edgartown end of Joseph Sylvia Beach between Oak Bluffs & Edgartown. Lifeguard on duty.

East Beach (Cape Pogue Wildlife Refuge & Wasque Reservation.

On Chappaquiddick. Access from Dyke bridge and Wasque

Trustee of Reservation regulations. Fee for non-members.

Fuller Street Beach

End of Fuller Street near Lighthouse Beach.

Katama/South Beach

Beach is at the end of Katama Road and Herring Creek Rd. South Shore surf. Strong undertow. Lifeguard on duty.

Lighthouse Beach

This beach is at Starbuck's Neck, off N. Water St.

OAK BLUFFS:

Eastville Beach

Between Oak Bluffs & Vineyard Haven, on the Oak Bluffs side

of the bridge. Sandy beach, small waves.

Joseph Sylvia State Beach

Mild barrier beach along Beach Rd. between Oak Bluffs & Edgartown. Good for Children. Sandy beach, small waves.

Oak Bluffs Town Beach

Adjacent to SAA dock. Lifeguard on duty.

VINEYARD HAVEN:

Lake Tashmoo Town Beach

End of Herring Creek Road. Lifeguard on duty.

Owen Park Beach

Harbor beach off Main Street.

Tisbury Town Beach

End of Owen Little Way, next to V.H. Yacht Club.

Lifeguard on duty.

Wilfrid's Pond Reserve

(Land Bank) - Herring Creek Rd. toward town beach.

Look for Land Bank sign on right.

WEST TISBURY:

Long Point Wildlife Refuge

Waldron's Bottom Road. Ocean surf & pond side swimming. 9AM-5PM. No Lifeguards. Parking fee.

Sepiessa Point Reservation

(Land Bank)- 1.2 miles in off Ed/WT Rd. on Tiah's Cove Rd.

off New Lane. Limited Parking. Boat launch and pond swimming.

Lambert’s Cove Beach

Town beach, Beach sticker necessary. Off of Lambert’s Cove Rd. Sandy beach with small waves.

Seth’s Pond

A fresh water Pond on Lambert’s Cove Rd. (Resident Permit Required)

CHILMARK:

Menemsha Public Beach

Gentle North Shore beach. Good fishing. Lifeguard on duty.

Chilmark Pond Preserve

(Land Bank) Access by canoe or kayak only across pond to

Atlantic Ocean beach for swimming. No Lifeguard.

Great Rock Bite Preserve

(Land Bank) – very limited parking. Long walk to beach from

parking area. North Shore beach.

Lucy Vincent Beach

Town Beach, Town Beach sticker required. South Shore Atlantic

beach with big surf and strong undertow.

Stonewall Beach

Town Beach, Town Beach sticker required. South Shore Atlantic

beach. Good surfing beach, strong undertow.

AQUINNAH (Gay Head):

Moshup Beach/Gay Head Public Beach

Off Moshup Trail. 10-minute walk from parking lot on cleared

trail. There is a parking fee.

Philbin Beach

Town Beach, Beach sticker necessary. Off of Moshup’s Trail.

West Basin

At the end of Lobsterville Beach. Parking is very limited. (Resident Permit required)

Lobsterville Beach

Located on the North Shore. Sandy Beach and calm waves.

Parking is very limited. (Resident Permit required)
